Kenyan International Michael Olunga scored his 17th goal of the season as his team Kashiwa Reysol went down 1-3 in a J.League match against Yokohama FM.

Olunga gave Kashiwa the lead in the 40th minute but a second half show from Yokohama saw them get all the three points at the Sankyo Frontier Kashiwa Stadium.

Yokohama scored two second half goals with an own goal by Kashiwa Reysol’s Takuma Ominami (82) helping them put the match to bed.

The Marinos scored through Erik Lima (77) and Daizen Maeda (90 + 2).

Following Sunday’s loss, Kashiwa is now 8th with 19 points while Yokohama FM is 5th on 21 points.

The two teams will face each other again in the J.League Cup Semi Final on Wednesday 7, October 2020.

Back in the J.League, Kashiwa will next take on Yokohama FC next Saturday.

Before today’s loss, Kashiwa Reysol had claimed a win in midweek to leave them with just one loss from their previous five matches.

Yokohama F. Marinos make it four wins in a row with Sunday’s victory.
