Wazito FC President Ricardo Badoer has slammed a number of players who were released by the KPL side. Taking to his official twitter account, Badoer said that the players added no value to his team and it was therefore just right that they were shown the door.
The no nonsense President claimed that the players released were recruited to the club without his approval. Calling it a ‘Wazito FC Cleaning’, Badoer had harsh words for the said players.
“Today the wazito FC cleaning continues. Kicking out no good f#king hyena players that were recruited without my approval. All they did was to eat my money and lose games,” he said.
“I wish them the best on the fucking streets where they belong. They lacked self respect and love for the game,” he added.
Among players axed by Wazito are former Tusker winger Victor Ndinya, Teddy Osok, former Sony Sugar striker Derrick Otanga and long-serving goalkeeper Steven Njung’e.
Goalkeeper Kevin Omondi has also been released.
Foreign players released are Augustine Otu, Piscas Kirenge, Issifou Bourahana and Paul Acquah.
Mr. Badoer also took time to comment of Coach Stewart Hall’s departure from the club.
Badoer thanked the Briton for helping turn things around at the club. Hall left Wazito at position 13 in the just cancelled KPL season.
“Want to thank Mr Hall for his hard work. He did turn the team around despite having some fucking lazy shitty players that would rather lose and let their club and team mates down. Unfortunately Due to COVID situation we need to change direction. I wish Mr Hall the best,” he said.
Earlier, Wazito FC CEO Dennis Gicheru confirmed that the club released 12 players due to the tough economic times caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
He revealed that the club will sign new players after thorough consultations with the technical bench.
