Former Wazito FC assistant coach Salim Babu has been appointed as the head coach of National Super League side Kisumu All Stars. He takes over from Andrew Aroka who left after failing to maintain the club’s topflight status.

Babu was last week sacked at Wazito alongside Head coach Fred Ambani and goalkeeper trainer Elias Otieno.

Before joining Wazito, Babu was the head coach of Western Stima FC, a side he led to a 7th position finish in the topflight league and won a number of coach of the month awards with.

He began his coaching career at Sony Sugar where he started out as an assistant coach after hanging his boots. He was later elevated to the position of head coach. He later moved to Migori Youth before settling at Stima and later Wazito.

With Kisumu All Stars failing to maintain topflight status after falling on penalties to Vihiga United during the promotion playoffs, Babu has been tasked with helping the kisumu-based side return to the FKFPL.
