Record Kenyan Champions Gor Mahia have slowly been going about their transfer business and despite a number of concerns from fans, the club has managed to rope in 7 new signings.
According to sporting director Lordvic Aduda, the said players (3 foreigners and 4 local based) have already put pen to paper and will officially be presented to the media and the public in two days.
Among the players who have joined Gor Mahai are Congolese striker Yangayay Sando Sando and Malian goalkeeper Adama Keita.
Also joining K’Ogallo are ex-Kariobangi Sharks winger Peter Lwasa and former Wazito defender Dennis Ng’ang’a.
Midfielder Peter Oudu has also joined Gor Mahia from Kariobangi Sharks.
‘’It is true we have signed seven players. We intend to forward their details to the Federation before we can officially unveil them to the public,’’ said Aduda as quoted by Citizen Digital.
Aduda also revealed that Gor Mahia will register additional players with CAF as they prepare to begin their CAF Confederations campaign where they take on Sudan’s Al-Ahly Merowe in the second round.
“Our situation is understandable. We were under FIFA transfer ban but now that we have been cleared, we will write to CAF to allow us to add names to the initial list forwarded to them. Some of the players we have recruited will be really instrumental in our continental campaign hence the need to include them,’’ he said.
The New Season
Gor will play FKFPL champions Tusker FC on Wednesday, September 22 at the Thika Stadium for the Super Cup.
The Mark Harrison coached side will then begin their league campaign with a match against bankers KCB the Kasarani stadium on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Ahead of the new season, Aduda is positive that Gor Mahia will have a great campaign and return to the top where it belongs.
