Coach Sebastien Migne’s final squad has been the center of discussion across various social media circles with different football fans giving their views on the same.

A number of them have aired their frustrations following Migne’s decision to drop Teddy Akumu while others have seen absolutely nothing wrong with that.

A number of football pundits have also argued that coach Migne might be going for a defensive approach heading into the AFCON showpiece in Egypt.

Coach Migne has now come out to deny such claims. The French tactician has said that his team will go all out to get the goals and that he won’t allow his team to sit deep behind in the name of defending.

“You will never see any of my teams trying to park the bus behind the box…never…not my team,” Said Migne in France.

The Coach outlined the footballing philosophy he will apply in Egypt.

“My philosophy is to make sure that we defend well at the back and attack as a team. We must try to stay strong at the back to avoid conceding and at the same time drive together to attack.

“We must have the willingness to defend as a team and also move forward, and that is what we have been deploying. I am very happy because my players are learning the style very well and if you watched us against Madagascar in the friendly, the system worked out very well.

“We also need to improve in scoring goals, we need to work on our set pieces because we can score goals from that position and that will be an added advantage to my team.” Said Migne.

The French tactician has also challenged his troops to work on their set-pieces.

Before leaving for Egypt, Harambee Stars will take on the Democratic Republic of Congo in a friendly match set to be played on Saturday, June 15, 2019, in Madrid, Spain.

Stars will then jet to Egypt on June 19, 2019, five days before their opening match of the tournament against Algeria.
