Chris Wood:

Newcastle United have signed striker Chris Wood from Burnley for a reported £25million transfer fee.

Wood has signed a two-and-a-half year contract at St. James Park and he is set to feature in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Watford.

Wood will wear the number 20 shirt. The Auckland forward has scored 27 goals for his nation in all 60 international appearances.

Chris Wood: “This is a very exciting opportunity for me and I’m delighted to be a Newcastle United player.

“I have played at St. James’ Park a few times and it’s an amazing place, so to have the chance to represent this club with those incredible supporters behind me and my team-mates is very special.

“The club and manager have been the first class during this process, and I really can’t wait to get onto the pitch and repay the faith they have in me, especially with a vital part of the season ahead of us.”

Juventus are reportedly eyeing a loan deal for Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek as a replacement for Arthur.

The 25-year-old English midielder has played 20 games this season for the Premier League giants and assisted three but is not a key player for Thomas Tuchel.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Juventus have identified Loftus-Cheek for his midfield qualities and technical abilities and are looking to him on a permanent deal at a fair price.

Bruno Guimaraes:

Juventus tabs are on the Lyon midfielder, Bruno Gumaraes if they fail to lure Chelsea for Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

However, Lyon are asking £41.7m to leg go the 24-year-old this month.

Arthur Melo:

The 25-year-old former Barcelona star is keen to make a move away from Turin this month, and is just waiting for Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri to give go ahead.

Mikel Arteta is keen to land the midfielder at Emirates as Maitland-Niles’ replacement.
