Rumours were flying around that Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnorld was set to miss out on Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Euros. The English Boss has however included the youngster in his 33-man provisional squad. He will however trim the squat to 26 players before the tournament begins in mid June.
Notable absentees from Southgate’s squad include Saint’s forward Danny Ings, Tottenham’s utility man Eric Dier. Burnely’s shot stopper Nick Pope has been left out since he is due to undergo surgery.
Uncapped Ben White, Ben Godfrey, Sam Johnstone and Aaron Ramsdale have been named in England’s 33-man provisional Euro 2020 squad, while Trent Alexander-Arnold also makes the cut.
