Wazito FC President Ricardo Badoer has cracked the whip on the Wazito FC technical bench. This comes just hours after the team suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz. Wazito went down 2-4, a result that angered Ricardo who took to twitter to air his frustrations.

“Congrats to Kakamega Homeboyz for their win. They deserved it while our defense looked like they spent too much time at KFC. I apologize to our fans and promise we will work on making the changes needed,” Said Ricardo.

Well, it now looks like he has decided to effect the changes at Wazito with head coach Fred Ambani, Technical Director Stanley Okumbi and Assistant Coach Hamisi Mohammed all shown the door.

According to a close source from the club who spoke with us on condition of anonymity” Wazito’s poor run in the KPL that has seen the team win just one of it’s first 6 games was the driving force behind Ambani and Co. sacking.

Under Ambani and Okumbi, Wazito has won 1, drew 3 and lost 2 of it’s first 6 games. The team currently lies 13th on the KPL log contrary to what many anticipated at the beginning of the season.

Despite making huge signings and investments, Wazito have failed to get that killer instinct with the team time and again struggling to get goals. The club’s defence has also been an issue of concern with many fans on social media calling for an overhaul of the department.

After Saturday’s defeat at the hands of Nicholas Muyoti’s homeboyz, Ricardo Badoer called on fans to stay calm and wait for the next course of action.

“Remember last season,We got it right. Sit tight,” he told one fan on twitter.

“All will be revealed in couple of days,” he added.

Last season saw Wazito sack coach Ahmed Muhammed Mchulla and his assistant Hussein Mohammed over what the team termed as “unsatisfactory results” in the National Super League.

A 3-1 defeat to Talanta was the last straw and with that came coach Ahmed’s letter of termination.

A 2-4 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz has also proved to be the last nail on Ambani and Okumbi’s coffins. The two have not been seeing eye to eye for sometime now and it is even reported that they had a fight on Friday just hours to the Kakamega Homeboyz game.

Ambani joined Wazito as an assistant coach before being promoted to the rank of head coach.

Okumbi on the other hand has had stints with Harambee Stars, Mathare United and Kariobangi Sharks.

Meanwhile, Ricardo has confirmed that Wazito FC will make an announcement on Tuesday.

“Wazito FC will make announcement on Tuesday,” he tweeted.
