KPL newbies Wazito FC have on Wednesday confirmed the signing of young and highly rated Ugandan attacking midfielder Mansoor Safi Agu.

The Ugandan has joined the Badoer Investments owned side straight from High School having been a student at Kubuli Secondary School (KSS) which is in Kampala and Dynamic Secondary School.

Mansoor has featured for the Ugandan under 17 and under 20 National teams and was being closely monitored by other top teams.

He has had stints at Kyebando FC and Macikz FC, both in Uganda.

Confirming his signing, Wazito FC Sporting Director Solomon Alubala affirmed that Wazito was also focused in developing young talents.

“Mansoor is a fantastic player. At his age, he has unique abilities and focus that will take him far. We are happy that he chose us to formally launch his professional career after High School”, he said.

“Wazito’s motto is nurturing talents and that is exactly what we intend to do with him and every player who has joined us”, he added.

With Mansoor’s signing, Wazito’s foreign quarter is now at five players.

Tuesday saw the club unveil new signings Elvis Rupia from Power Dynamo FC, Abouba Sibomana from APR and Karim Nizigiyimana from Vipers SC.

Wazito have also signed Derrick Otanga, Joshua Otieno and Kelvin Omondi from Sony Sugar FC, Pistone Mutamba from Sofapaka, Gad Mathews from Kariobangi Sharks, Bernard Ochieng from Vihiga United and Kenya U17 keeper Bixente Otieno.
