Gor Mahia Goalkeeper Fredrick Odhiambo has joined Wazito FC. Confirming the signing on their website, the ‘KPL Moneybags’ as they are also known stated that the ‘serial league winner’ joins to beef up the team’s goalkeeping department ahead of the 2020/21 KPL campaign.

“I feel good to be here, and I want to thank God for this opportunity. I want to urge the supporters to back us heading to the new season and we will deliver the goodies,” said Odhiambo after putting pen to paper.

Wazito’s goalkeepers’ coach Elias Otieno termed Otieno as one of the best having also worked with him before.

“Fredrick is a keeper I have known and worked with before. I coached him while at MYSA in 2009 when he was a little kid and I have watched him develop to become one of the best keepers in the country,” he stated.

Otieno brings with him a wealth of experience having featured in the CAF Champions League and CAF confederations Cup. He was also part of the Gor Mahia team that played English side Everton FC.

He has also previously featured for Mathare United.

He is now expected to fight for a starting berth with Bixente Otieno who coach Elias said will learn a lot from him.
