After impressive 2021/22 FKF Premier League run Kenya Police FC tactician Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo is ready for the league title battle next season.
The former Gor Mahia assistant coach helped the Law Enforcers finish ninth-place despite unbeaten in eight league outings.
According to Pamzo, they struggled against lesser opponents but did well against title challengers like Gor Mahia, Tusker, AFC Leopards, Homeboyz and KCB.
“We want to see the kind of teams that we can challenge next because last season we did very well against Tusker, Gor Mahia, Homeboyz, and KCB which were title contenders.
“We only did not do well against AFC Leopards and that is one of only two defeats I have suffered since taking over the team so against teams like AFC we need to well then we can always challenge for the title because we are capable,” he said.
Pamzo has so far acquired the services of David Okoth from Kakamega Homeboyz, Patilah Omoto from Kariobangi Sharks, and duo Reagan Otieno and Baraka Badi from KCB FC as they remain linked with other big name signings.
The tactician is hopefully and determined to kick off the 2022/23 season with the same gear and winning mentality as last season’s.
“Coming next season, we have to start with the same momentum that we finished the league with and I really that that is possible.
“The players I have are very experienced and they know how much I want them to play and how I want to work with them and I also know what the office wants. All of us know what is expected,” Pamzo added.
