Kenya Premier League side Western Stima have signed two players ahead of the new 2019/2020 season. The Kisumu based side has added Center Back Salim Odeka who joins from Sony Sugar and young striker Benson Omalla to their squad.
Salim Odeka will be making a return to the club having been a Stima player before he left for the now seemingly broke Sony Sugar.
Benson Omalla on the other hand impressed in the just concluded National school games and was also attracting interest from National Super League side Kisumu All-Stars. Omalla is currently at Kisumu Day and was able to get on the scoresheet as the Kisumu based school beat Mbooni boys 2-0 to bag their only win of the just concluded games.
The two become Western Stima’s 10th and 11th signings this window with the powermen having already signed 9 last month while dropping 10 in the same month.
Among the players that the team has signed include; Ibrahim Ochieng (Kisumu Hot Stars FC), Kelvin Wasonga (Sony Sugar), Henry Juma (K.Sharks), John Njau (Sony Sugar), Amos Kigadi (Vihiga United), Abdala Wankuru (Sony Sugar), Fidel Origa,(Kariobangi Sharks), Kennedy Odhiambo (Sony Sugar) and Oromchan Villa (Bidco FC, Uganda).
Stima’s first match in the new Kenya Premier League season will be against William Muluhya’s Kariobangi Sharks on the 30th of June. The team finished last season in the 13th place with 39 points.
