Leicester City who are top Premier League side have confirmed that Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndindi has suffered fresh injury in training ahead of the coming season.

The Nigerian playmaker has not played for the Foxes since March and the injury he suffered also made him not to feature for the Super Eagles in their World Cup playoff against Ghana.

Ndindi limped off from his side’s 2-1 second defeat by Rennes in the Europa Conference League on March 17.

According to the report on GOAL, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers explained that Ndindi has suffered a knock in training stressing that it does not look like something serious.

“We’ve got one or two knocks. Wilf’s twisted his ankle in training a few days ago. We don’t think it’s too serious.”
